Strong Savvy Women Event for Single Women on January 18 in Darien
Divorce is not the end. It can be the beginning of a whole new, exciting chapter!
Our Strong Savvy Women “Divorce Success Stories” event on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 will feature five successful women who reinvented themselves after divorce. They will share tips on overcoming emotional hurdles, juggling work and children and setting career goals to achieve financial independence.
The panel will be moderated by Amy Polacko, a divorce coach, journalist, and founder of Strong Savvy Women – a group dedicated to the education and support of single women. We are thrilled to have the following businesswomen on our Divorce Success Stories panel sharing their advice and inspirational stories:
Amber Penberty, Principal at Woodland Partners Custom Builders in Darien
Maura Dimm, Owner of Consign Envy in Ridgefield
Lisa Stiehl, National Advertising Sales Manager
Sissela Johansson, Photography by Sissela
Lina Quintero, Life UnQluttered (professional organizer)
“I started this group so every woman going through divorce would know that she will get through it — and she can thrive,” Polacko said. “Every one of these women has an incredible story of triumph to guide and inspire others.”
Our event sponsor is Oberst DeFala Law, PC of Norwalk, CT (www.oberstlaw.com). Attorney Sharon Oberst DeFala will be speaking at the beginning of our event about her family law practice and the necessity for estate planning. DeFala describes herself as “a divorce attorney with a heart” and has been helping Connecticut families through this process since 1992.
The event fee is $20 payable through Eventbrite and virtual tickets through Zoom are also available. Register in advance and bring a friend – married friends are invited as well: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/490980976317
